Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, of Kebbi state, has extended a warm welcome to a group of Chinese investors, assuring them of a fruitful partnership aimed at enhancing economic development in the state.
Speaking during the visit on Monday, Governor Idris reiterated his administration's commitment to promoting and encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI) in Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole. He emphasized the state's vast potential in agriculture and natural resources, highlighting opportunities for investment in these sectors.

"Our state is blessed with abundant natural resources, including gold, gypsum, and lithium, among others. We are eager to partner with you to tap into these resources and explore mutually beneficial opportunities."
Acknowledging Kebbi State's position as the leading rice producer in Nigeria, Governor Idris expressed his administration's readiness to facilitate investment across various sectors. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a conducive environment for investors and announced plans for a high-powered government delegation to visit China to further consolidate investment ties.
In response, Mr. Li Zhensheng, the leader of the Chinese delegation, underscored China's commitment to fostering comprehensive cooperation with Africa, particularly in trade development, agriculture, infrastructure, and finance. He expressed confidence in the potential for collaboration between China and Nigeria, emphasizing China's readiness to share its advanced technology and expertise with Kebbi State.
The visit included a showcase of projects implemented by Chinese experts in Africa and the presentation of a symbolic embroidery depicting ruggedness and resilience to Governor Nasir Idris.
The event was attended by key government officials, including the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, the Head of Service, and commissioners, underscoring the importance attached to the partnership between Kebbi State and Chinese investors.
