In a shocking turn of events, Edo State PDP chairman, Dr. Tony Aizegbemi, was abducted in the early hours of the morning along Country Home Road off Sapele Road, Benin City.
The incident occurred around 9 pm while Dr. Aizegbemi was returning from a meeting held at the government house. He had scheduled a meeting to welcome some national leaders, which was later canceled due to their absence. It was during his return from the government house that he was kidnapped.
Despite his phone ringing, no one has answered or returned any calls to ascertain the kidnappers' demands.
The Edo State Social Media Force has urged the public to refrain from posting on various platforms until the chairman is safely released. They have also issued a stern warning against perpetuating violence, emphasizing that the PDP is not associated with such activities.
As the community awaits updates, prayers are being offered for Dr. Aizegbemi's safe return in good health and sound mind.
