As the political crisis deepens in Rivers State, a councillor representing Ward 9 Rumu-Epirikom and Elioparanwo of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Hon. Anchor Prince Nna, has resigned.

In a letter addressed to the council chairman of Rumu Odomaya through the legislative clerk, Mrs. Rosemary Brown, dated March 7, 2024, the letter reads, "Let me begin by thanking the leadership and the good people of Ward 9 in particular, as well as Obio/Akpor Local Government Council in general, for this great opportunity given to me to serve as a leader in the legislative arm."

Furthermore, he expressed his unreserved gratitude to the former governor of the state and Minister of FCT, Nelson Wike, for the opportunity to represent him as a councillor of his ward.

In a video clip, the former leader declared his unflinching support for the incumbent Governor of Rivers State, Fubara.

"Today, I come to terms with the state of affairs in Rivers State. I also acknowledge the necessity to join those who desire to improve the lives of the people of Rivers State. Those who prioritize making Rivers State better for our people," he maintained.
