The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu CON, has affirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's clear strategy to reform and revitalize Nigeria's economy. Speaking during an oversight visit by the House of Representatives Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, Bagudu highlighted the government's commitment to achieving inclusive growth, reforming macroeconomic policies, and bolstering investor confidence.
Bagudu emphasized the importance of aligning budgeting with national planning, stating that President Tinubu is dedicated to returning the nation to a plan-based budget regime. He noted ongoing efforts to enact legislation that would ensure coherence between budgeting and planning processes.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the strategy amidst prevailing volatility, Bagudu expressed confidence in the government's ability to overcome obstacles.
