The Zaria Local Council in Kaduna state has received the sum of 481,476,672 Naira as it's monthly grant from Federal Government allocation for the Month of January.
Out of the sum 185,464,078.82 has expended on workers salaries consisting local government council staff, Teachers and primary Health care staff.
The Supervisor, Agriculture and Forestry Sector of the Local Government, Mallam Ibrahim Sambo made this known shortly after Executive Council and Finance and General purpose Committe monthly meeting.
He pointed out that the sum of 69,590,256.50 was expended as over head cost.
While 20, 953,601.60 was expended on monthly pension, he said.
The Supervisor Futher stated that the sum of 2,464,078.82 was airmaked for sinking fund.
Mallam Sambo said that other expenditure were 54,473,187.23 was airmarked for capital projects and the sum of 5,536,981.73 was set aside for Legislative council members.
He explained "The sum of 2,000,000 was airmarked for Water Sanitation and Hygiene unit.
"The sum of 5,000,000.00 was approved for Kaduna state vilance service salary".
The supervisor added that the Sum of 108,695,652.16 was also approved for unified projects.
"The Council approved the disbursement of funds to Sectors of the Local Government for running of thier day to day official activities as follows.
"Administration and finance Sector recieved the Sum of 6,000,000.00, Education Social Development 5,000,000.00, Works and Infrastructure 3,000,000.00 and Agriculture and Forestry 2,000,000.00.
"We also approved the advance payment of contribution of staff salary agencies to SUBEB and PHC Development agency for Teachers' and primary Health care workers' salary". Said the Supervisor.
