Jubilation Hits Isa Mustapha Agwai 1 Polytechnic Lafia (IMAPL) Following Suspension of Rector Dr. Justina A. Kotso by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.
The institution was thrown into celebration immediately after the announcement of her suspension from office reached them.
Some members of the community who spoke to our correspondent applauded the government's decision to place the Rector on compulsory leave while awaiting the report of the visitation panels set up by Governor Sule to investigate alleged misappropriation.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu, confirmed the suspension of Dr. Justina A. Kotso.
Additionally, the statement also announced the suspension of the Governing Council of the Polytechnic to allow the visitation panels to carry out their function without influence by anybody.
It noted that there were a series of confrontations between the Rector and the Governing Council, which Governor Abdullahi Sule made many moves to resolve, but hit a brick wall."
