Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa, has been thrown into a mood of celebration immediately after the Nigerian Super Eagles secured a ticket to play in the final at the ongoing African Cup of Nations. The Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. Expressing their happiness with the outcome of the match, lovers of the Super Eagles in Lafia described the victory as teamwork by the players. They also pledged to continue praying for the national team to win the AFCON.
