The Police Service Commission has scheduled Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for successful applicants from the recently concluded credentials and physical screening exercises held across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A total of 171,956 applicants who successfully passed the screening exercise are expected to participate in the computer-based tests. These candidates are applying for the General Duty positions.

Head, Press and Public Relations furthermore, the 43,778 successful applicants from the specialist cadre during the screening exercise will undergo practical tests on a date to be announced soon by the Commission.
Following the Police Recruitment Board meeting on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, the Commission approved the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to conduct the Computer-Based Tests for the Police applicants due to its extensive experience in such examinations.
For the General Duty cadre, 315,114 applicants were invited for the screening exercise, out of which 171,956 were successful and shortlisted for the JAMB CBT. Among the 171,956 shortlisted applicants, 25,818 are females, and 146,138 are males.
Kaduna State will present the highest number of candidates for the tests with 12,343, followed by Bauchi with 10,911, Benue with 10,532, and Katsina with 10,457.
Anambra State has the least number of candidates for the aptitude tests, with 343 applicants, followed by Lagos with 504, and Ebonyi with 600.
Successful candidates from the computer-based tests will undergo medical examinations before proceeding to training.
Dr. Solomon Arase CFR, retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Commission, stated that the Commission is on course to conclude this exercise promptly, enabling successful candidates to swiftly integrate into the system to contribute to the renewed efforts against insurgency and banditry.
He commended Mr. President for this rare opportunity to strengthen and rejuvenate the Police Force for improved performance.
