From Abubakar Suleiman
President Bola Tinubu has criticized the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) for staging a nationwide protest during his nine-month-old administration.
The President made these remarks on Thursday, February 29, at the launch of the Red Line rail transit in Lagos State.
He said, "Allow me to make a point here: the Labour Union should understand that, regardless of how much we value our freedoms and rights, initiating a strike within nine months of an administration is unacceptable.
"If you wish to engage in the electoral process, wait until 2027. If not, maintain peace. You are not the sole voice of Nigerians."
