The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Rivers State has issued a stern warning to Chief Tony Okocha, Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, urging him to focus on his duties at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and cease spreading baseless allegations against the government of Rivers State led by His Excellency, Sir Siminialayi Fubara KSC, GSSRS.

In a statement released today by the PDP's Publicity Secretary, Sydney Tambari Gbara, it was emphasized that the people of Rivers State are content with the leadership provided by Governor Fubara, as it resonates with their desires and aspirations.

Governor Fubara has swiftly become a household name in the state due to his unwavering commitment to advancing development, good governance, and the welfare of the populace. Within a span of less than six months in office, Governor Siminialayi Fubara has initiated numerous people-oriented projects spanning various regions of the state. Notable among these initiatives is the multi-billion naira Port Harcourt Ring Road project, poised to enhance commerce and bolster economic activities across six local government areas.

Additionally, projects such as the Elelenwo and Bori Internal roads, the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro Unity road, alongside several others, underscore the administration's dedication to infrastructural development.

Furthermore, in collaboration with a Real Estate developer, the government is spearheading the construction of 20,000 housing units tailored for low-income earners, a testament to its commitment to providing affordable housing solutions.

Governor Fubara's proactive measures to ameliorate the prevailing economic challenges faced by the populace include visits to dormant agricultural and industrial facilities with the aim of revitalizing them to ensure food security and bolster economic productivity. Moreover, the revival of the Rivers State Micro Finance Agency, coupled with the disbursement of loans totaling N4 billion to support micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises, reflects the government's resolve to empower the citizenry economically.

The PDP expressed dismay at Chief Okocha's unwarranted criticism and urged him to desist from undermining the commendable strides achieved by Governor Fubara's administration. The recent protest staged by Rivers women in support of Governor Fubara should be seen as a legitimate expression of solidarity rather than a subject for derision.

The PDP reiterated its unwavering confidence in the discernment and steadfastness of the people of Rivers State to continue supporting Governor Siminialayi Fubara, who has demonstrated remarkable leadership acumen.
