Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, accompanied by government officials, including Commissioner for Road and Bridges, Ethan Uzamere, and Commissioner for Public Safety and Security, Kingsley Uwagbale, inspects ongoing road construction projects in Ekehuan, Ugbiyoko, and environs.
After the inspection, Obaseki reaffirms the timely completion of the projects before the end of his tenure in November 2024, emphasizing the significance of the road leading to Gelegele, which is crucial for accessing the Benin Port.
Contractor Engr. Ighiere Duke projects completion of the Ekehuan Road by October 2024, highlighting concurrent earthwork and concrete efforts, with asphalt work scheduled to commence by March 2024.
Permanent Secretary Ferguson Enabulele underscores the use of concrete technology since 2016 for road construction, citing its durability, while residents express gratitude for the ongoing development.
