Member representing Lafia Central constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, has facilitated free registration for 170 students of his constituency for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams.
Hon. Akwashiki, who is the Minority Whip of the House, flagged off the JAMB free registration today in Lafia and assured of his readiness to assist in securing admission for those students who pass their JAMB Examinations.
He urged the students to be hardworking and committed to their studies in order to excel in their academic pursuits.
The Minority Whip stated that this gesture stemmed from his desire to assist indigent students of his constituency and to complement Gov. Abdullahi Sule's efforts in the education sector.
"You will recall that in the last two months, I sponsored a computer training programme for these students to enable them to acquire computer skills and knowledge. The lawmaker disclosed that he has invested N4.5 million in the project.

Furthermore, he assured of his commitment to providing purposeful and quality representation at the state legislature.
"By God's grace, I will continue to bring smiles to the faces of my people by initiating various policies and programs that will directly impact the lives of my constituents," he added.
The lawmaker also urged the students and other residents of the state to continue supporting Rt. Hon Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the state legislature, and the government of the day for success.
