The National Deputy President of ALGON, who also serves as the Nasarawa State Chairman of ALGON and holds the position of Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Hon. Aminu Mu'azu Maifata, has affirmed the council's commitment to assisting the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in enhancing the quality of education and curbing the proliferation of private schools.


He made this declaration during the handover ceremony of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) held at Sandaji Chalet in Lafia.

In his address, Maifata emphasized the importance of cooperation among NAPPS members and the new leadership, highlighting the significance of timely payment of dues for organizational sustainability. He urged private school proprietors to register with the local government education authority as a crucial step towards compliance with government regulations.

Furthermore, Maifata disclosed the council's awareness of the state House of Assembly committee's efforts to regulate private school proliferation, citing concerns over the quality of education provided by some institutions. He expressed readiness to implement relevant laws once passed by the assembly to address this issue.

Outgoing coordinator Reverend Peter Babale advised the incoming leadership to prepare for challenges and exhibit resilience in their duties.
