In a groundbreaking move, Delta State has initiated the Tertiary Institutions Students Insurance Programme (TISIP), ensuring access to medical care for students across the state. Dr. Latimore Oghenesivbe, Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor, emphasized Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's commitment to prioritizing student healthcare. The program, coordinated by the Delta State Social Insurance Commission, aims to extend free medical services to Delta State students nationwide. This initiative marks Delta as the first state to implement such a comprehensive student health program on a national scale. Oghenesivbe also addressed the relocation of the Faculty of Management Sciences of Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro to the Orerokpe campus, stressing that the decision aligns with institutional governance and aims to bolster educational infrastructure. Despite recent protests, he affirmed the state's dedication to fostering peaceful coexistence and advancing tertiary education across all senatorial districts, underscoring Governor Oborevwori's commitment to his "MORE" agenda.
