The Nasarawa Assembly Deputy Speaker, serving and former lawmakers, joined Balarabe Abdullahi in Keffi as he mourned his Chief of Staff.
The Chief Imam of Keffi, Mal. Muhammed Awal Abubakar, called on people to amend their ways with God and humanity by living a righteous life, as death could come at any time.
The Islamic cleric spoke during the funeral rites of Aboky Suleiman, held in Keffi LGA today. Aboky Suleiman died in the late hours of Saturday in Lafia due to a brief illness and was buried in Keffi Sunday morning amidst uncontrollable tears from family members, friends, associates, and sympathizers.
Conducting the burial rites, the Chief Imam of Keffi, Mal. Muhammed Awal Abubakar, said death is inevitable to every mortal and urged believers to always be prepared for it and live a righteous life.
Also speaking, the Chief Imam of Umaisha, Sheikh Muhammed Yahaya Usman, who is the Khadi Shariah Court of Appeal in Lafia, tasked people to always amend their ways with God and humanity and be prepared for death at all times.
The religious leaders prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and console the family.
The immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who was accompanied to the burial by Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Adamu Oyanki, both serving and former lawmakers, described the demise of Aboky Suleiman as very shocking and colossal.
Balarabe Abdullahi prayed to God to forgive the deceased of his shortcomings, grant him paradise, and give the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
It was a high level of eulogy and good testimonies as Aboky Suleiman's body was committed to mother earth.
