Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Danladi Jatau, has appealed to the people of Nasarawa State not to allow the supreme court verdict undermine the existing peace that the state is enjoying.
The Speaker made the call at a reception organized by National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nasarawa State chapter to celebrate the Supreme Court verdict of Governor Abdullahi Sule today in Keffi LGA.
He said that no nation or society experience speedy development without peace, hence the need for all to shun acts capable of undermining existing peace in the state.
Speaker Jatau called on the people of the state to support the administration of Engr. Abdullahi Sule for more dividends of democracy in the state.
" His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has the passion of the people of the state at his heart
" He is doing well in the area of peace, security, provision of infrastructure among others
" Let all and sundry continue to give His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule the maximum support to succeed to enable all of us enjoy more dividends of democracy," he said.
Jatau said with the Supreme Court verdict, Engr. Abdullahi Sule was destined to govern Nasarawa State.
The Speaker advocated unity in diversity where the heterogenous nature of the state and its potentials will be harnessed for growth and development instead of creating crises.
The head of the 7th Assemb said litigations are over and attention must be shifted to the act of governance, calling for support to the administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
He envisaged a better Nasarawa State where politics will be played devoid of primordial sentiments.
Danladi Jatau used the medium to appeal to youths and politicians to avoid utterances capable of over hitting the polity, saying all that Nasarawa State needs is development base on the aspirations of the founding fathers of the state.
It would be reported that the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau, the Chairman of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) Aliyu Bello and the State Accountant General, Dr Musa Ahmed Mohammed led politicians to the reception were the competence of Engr. Abdullahi Sule to turn the fortunes of the state was underscored and the need for harmonious living was also emphasized.
