Nasarawa state commissioner of women Affairs and social Development Hajiya Aisha Ruffai Ibrahim has described the verdict of the supreme Court on 19th, January 2024 has finally affirmed the votes of Nasarawa people in the 18th March/2023 gubérnatorial election.
Aisha who stated this while in an interview with Journalists during a ground reception organized by the state APC Chairman Alhaji Aliyu Bello in honour of Governor Abdullahi Sule's victory held at the government house Lafia the state capital on Saturday ,calling on the opposition party PDP to give the administration of Engr Abdullahi Sule the ample support in order to enable him continue with his good plan geared toward the transformation of the state in the spheres of physical infrastructures.
" I am calling on the people of Nasarawa state to be loyal to the governor and support him to govern the state for the interest of all. He has governed the state with integrity,and transperancy. He is a focused person. So there is the need for us to continue to accord him the atmosphere of peace in order to attract more devidence of governance in his second term just as witnessed in his first tenure" , Aisha said.
She expressed confidence in the administration of Abdullahi Sule ; added that the governor has ran an inclusive government in his first tenure by carrying women and youth along especially in terms of employment, empowerment and skill aquisition,; assuring that he will do more in his second tenure.
" Becouse alot of women and youth have gained Employment in the state. What we expect is that His Excellency will do more again. We will keep advocating for the participation of women in government because he is a listening leader" Aisha pointed out.
The commissioner however observed that the election matter has been put to rest in the state , hence the need for the opposition party PDP to come together and join hands with the governor which is pertinent so as to move the state peacefully and developmentally to the next level for the interest of all ; to noted that no meaneanful development can strive in an atmosphere of disunity.
