The Paramount Ruler of Egbira people in Nasarawa State the Ohimegye Opanda, Umaisha. HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi has today Saturday turbaned the new Village Head of Shege (Ohinoyi Shege) Idris Hussaini with a task on him to leave above board.
The event which took place at Ohimegye's Palace in Umaisha, Toto LGA of Nasarawa State had in attendance the immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and the Executive Chairman of Toto LG Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas among other dignitaries.
The First Class Traditional Ruler who gave an insight on how Idris Hussaini emerged unanimously after the demise of Usman Musa about Nine months ago said he was generally accepted by his people and urged him to carry everyone along and operate with the fear of God.
" A leader should not betray his people, carry everybody along, be patient and sincere, respect peoples' opinion and fear God in all your affairs
" And to the people of Shege, respect your new chief, support him to succeed, when people support their leaders sincerely, and when leaders are sincere to their people everything will go fine" He said.
Also speaking, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Former Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly who holds the traditional title of Wali Opanda thanked Ohimegye Opanda for providing a purposeful leadership for his people and urged the new village head to rule by example.
" I want to congratulate the new Ohinoyi of Shege, we have being together all this while, I know him very well, he is a good man, a man of peace and I have no doubt in his ability to deliver
" Let continue to pray and support our leaders at all segments to succeed, may Allah guide and protect him as he take up this traditional assignment today" He said.
Balarabe Abdullahi also used the occasion to speak on Gov. Abdullahi Sule's victory at Supreme Court which he said has finally end tension in the State calling on his people to continue to show more understanding and support for the Governor to enable him succeed.
Balarabe Abdullahi also called on his people to continue to pray and support Ohimegye Opanda for God to give him more of long life, wisdom and protection to enable him continue to provide the best leadership for his people.
The Chairman Toto LG Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas congratulated the new Village Head of Shege on his coronation and wished him well just as the new Village Head promised to leave above board.
The New Villege Head of Shege (Ohinoyi Shege) Idris Hussaini, is a HND holder from Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, a former Councilor for Shege ward and was before his selection Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman Toto LG on political matters.
