The Nasarawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) warmly felicitates with His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State on his recent affirmation by the Supreme Court as the duly elected governor of the state during the March 18 governorship poll.
The judgment of the Apex Court has finally put to rest the prolonged legal battle from the outcome of the governorship election in the state.
The NUJ Nasarawa State Council appeals to the governor to be magnanimous in victory in line with the principle of democracy.
The Council wishes to call on His Excellency, the Governor to focus on delivering good governance to the people irrespective of any differences.
The NUJ also calls on the PDP and its candidate to accept the outcome of the Apex Court in the spirit of democracy and sportsmanship with a view to ensuring peace and unity in the state and join hands with the government to move the state forward.
The Council also urges people of the state to put all that happened during elections behind them and support the government to succeed.
The Union, on behalf of the entire practising journalists in the state, assures the government of their support at all times.
