The above association wishes to identify with His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, and his Deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, on their victory at the Supreme Court, which reaffirmed their election.
Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Nasarawa State Chapter sees this as a confirmation of their re-election, the people's wish, and a reflection of the popular mandate given to the Governor and his Deputy in the 2023 general elections.
The association uses this opportunity to encourage the Governor to continue with people-oriented programs and policies tailored towards improving the quality of lives of the citizens, especially in the sports industry, security, education, health, urban and rural infrastructure, agriculture, and environment, among others.
The association enjoined the people of the state, irrespective of inclination, to extend their hands of fellowship to our leaders to ensure the best is obtained for the common man. Simultaneously, we are urging the Governor to engage in rebuilding and reconciliation processes across ranks with a view to achieving meaningful growth and development.
SWAN wishes His Excellency a fruitful tenure in office and a robust collaboration with the association in promoting issues of youth and sports development in the state and beyond.
